After the heavy drama of Bernarda Alba, the Harlequins turned to broad comedy for their final 1970 production, Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. Produced in its classic play-within-a-play format with original musical accompaniment, the show featured Celia Cook as Kate, Scott Snyder as Petruchio, Shelly Chance as Bianca, and Terry Vandivort, John Alberts, Jay Longan, and Gary Pearle, along with a cameo appearance by Tony Vintcent.
