Harlequin Players
The 1970 Harlequin season was billed as an "International Season;" it featured plays from France, Russia, Spain, and England. The ambitious repertoire included works by Giraudoux, Chekhov, Garcia Lorca, and Shakespeare. Innovations included three staff assistants, who undertook cast and crew roles as members of the company but also performed specialized staff duties. The season was the subject of a KERA-TV mini-documentary; click below to listen to the audio of this program.
