Ita vero! The St. Mark’s Classics Club “brought home the hardware” from the recent Texas State Junior Classical convention. The three certamen (Latin, for “Quiz Bowl”) teams once again reached the finals at the Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels. Meanwhile, in individual tests, the Marksmen distinguished themselves, bringing home an unprecedented number of top awards.
First-place prizes went to co-captain Darwin Yang ’15, co-captain Kevin Wu ’16, Phillip Osborn ’14, Joshua Choe ’16, Killian Green ’17, and Andrew Smith ’18. Second-place awards went to Kevin Kim ’16, Keith Kadesky ’17, Michael Wang ’17, and Jin Lee ’17. Third-place awards went to Shailen Parmar ’17, Ben Wilson ’14, and Phillip Simons ’18.
