For the 13th time in 14 years, St. Mark’s Photography has been named the “Top Program” by the Association of Texas Photography Instructors. The “Top Program” award is given by a panel of judges who evaluate and rank portfolio submissions from both public and private schools.
“For the boys, and in particular St. Mark’s Photography alumni, the Top Program competition has become something they take great pride in, and deservedly so,” said Scott Hunt, Arnold E. Holtberg Master Teaching Chair and St. Mark's Photography Instructor. “Photography students, past and present, work very hard. Their dedication and commitment to excellence are reflected by 13 wins in the past 14 years. I’m always amazed by the interest and engagement demonstrated by our photography alumni who reach out to ask how portfolios are coming, what our chances are, and to see each year’s winning portfolios. There’s a legacy of sorts and a community that never ceases to amaze me.”
Students whose work was included in this year’s submission were: Tyler Nussbaumer ’20, Will Rocchio ’20, Charlie Rose ’20, Lee Schlosser ’20, Benjamin Hao ’20, Ryan McCord ’20, Rohit Vemuri ’20, Luis Garcia-Ojeda ’21, Blake Hudspeth ’21, Collin Katz ’21, Luke Voorheis ’21, Jerry Zhao ’21, Evan McGowan ’22, Zubin Mehta ’22, and Anashay Monga ’22.
