Lunar New Year Celebrations

Throughout the week of January 27, St. Mark's celebrated the Lunar New Year with a series of events and activities for students. In weekly chapel services, Andrew Ye ’26 shared his memories and reflections on the new year tradition and students heard from guest musician and St. Mark's grandparent Lu Hongyan.

On Thursday, January 30, the entire community gathered in Spencer Gym for the annual All-School Lunar New Year Celebration. The assembly included Chinese yo-yos, a Face-Changing dance, performances from the Upper School orchestra and guest musicians, a Gong Fu demonstration, and a high-flying Lion dance.

Happy Year of the Snake!
