Before embarking on the next chapter in their lives, recent graduates from the Class of 2017 gathered on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, for the annual Graduate Send-Off hosted by Eugene McDermott Headmaster David W. Dini. Sixty members of the Class returned to campus to celebrate one last time and were joined by faculty and members of the Alumni Office.
As the Class enjoyed a meal prepared by beloved cafeteria staff member Howard Stewart, the Director of Alumni Relations Alex Eshelbrenner ’04 shared the importance of staying connected to the School and each other. Mr. Eshelbrenner also noted the many resources available to the graduates, including the St. Mark’s Alumni App.
Mr. Dini echoed those sentiments, telling the boys, “Remember this network that you have here. You will have these connections for the rest of your lives: not just your classmates, but generations of Marksmen.”
The evening concluded with the unveiling of the Class of 2017’s names to Graduate Hall, the newest addition to the list of every graduating class since 1907.
Best wishes to the Class of 2017 in college and in all of their future endeavors!
