Congratulations are in order for 17 Marksmen who were recently selected for the All-State Band and Orchestra. The Texas Private School Music Educators Association selects members based on individual auditions. Boys who received All-State recognition traveled to State San Antonio, Jan 29-31 to perform in a concert at the Scottish Rite Auditorium.
Two Marksmen in the Middle School received All-State recognition including Ivan Huang ’09 and Ted Yu ’08. Upper School boys earning All-State honors included Jacques Finn ’04, Michael Titzer ’04, Kyle Wiggins ’04, Howard Chang ’05, Jonathan Lind ’05, Eric Lu ’05, David Lee ’06, Sam Ramirez ‘06, Jeff Shim ’07, Bhavani Gannavarapu ’07, Paul Wiggins ’07, Jared Forbus ’06, Daniel Jordan ’06, Jason Sanford ’06, and Adam Rubin ’05.
Congratulations are also in order for Dr. David Fray, Orchestra Director, and Mr. Tim Hicks, Band Director, who led the boys to San Antonio for the All-State event.
