A-team members finished the tournament 9-0 en route to their championship.

St. Mark’s E-team made a strong run in the Middle School playoff round and finished fourth in the tournament. Team members include eighth graders Cade Daigle and James Dunlap and seventh graders Samual Aldis and Hamzah Salman.

Two St. Mark’s teams finished 7-2 in the elementary division (St. Mark’s F and St. Mark’s G teams).

Thirty-three Middle School students took part in this invitational tournament.

Quiz Bowl coordinators Greg Crook, Dr. Katherine Magruder and Paul Mlakar thank the more than 30 members of the Upper School Quiz Bowl Team who made the tournament happen with their efforts to set up the 15 classrooms used in the competition, administer the games, serve as moderators, scorekeepers and control room operators and return each of these classrooms to working order.

Faculty who assisted with the tournament include Middle School Assistant Head Jason Lange, librarian Teresa Katsulos, Mathematics Department Chair Shane May and history instructor Dr. Bruce Westrate.

Additional support was provided by Sage Dining Services, the School’s technology division and the facilities staff.
