On Thursday morning, the entire student body joined faculty and staff in the W. W. Browning, Jr., Great Hall to celebrate All-School Thanksgiving Convocation.
“As we all prepare for Thanksgiving, I think about what I am most grateful for: my family, my colleagues, and each and every one of you,” Eugene McDermott Headmaster David Dini told students. “And I am grateful for the tremendous sense of community we share. We have an opportunity to make a difference every day by the things that we do, the way we care for one another, the respect that we show for one another, and the way that we reach out and include everyone. We are a community that celebrates our great diversity. As you go off and spend time with friends and family over Thanksgiving, I ask you to reflect on how fortunate we all are to be a part of this great community.”
Sixth Grade Class Sponsor and Humanities teacher Rebecca Jenkins also addressed the importance of gratitude.
"As you go forth into the time of Thanksgiving, I urge you to make gratitude a daily practice,” Mrs. Jenkins said. "There is always something to celebrate and something that is very worthy of your gratitude."
