At the Annual Trustee Dinner on April 30, 2014, Board President Randall Fojtasek ’81 announced that a new endowed Master Teaching Chair has been established and named in honor of the School’s longest-serving Headmaster. The Arnold E. Holtberg Master Teaching Chair was given by Howard and Rory Meyers, along with their sons Craig ’94 and Kevin ’98, as part of The Centennial Challenge. At the final faculty/staff meeting on June 2, 2014, Arnie announced photography instructor Scott Hunt had been appointed as the first holder of the Holtberg Master Teaching Chair.
Scott Hunt joined the St. Mark's faculty as a photography instructor in 1998, and has since elevated the photography program to national prominence. This year, for the eighth consecutive year, the program was named "Top Program" by the Association of Texas Photography Instructors. This summer, Scott is in South America leading a group of boys on an international photography trip.
