A group of St. Mark's photography students organized a one-day exhibition of their best work to raise money for victims of the recent Granbury tornado. Proceeds from the sale will go directly to Habitat for Humanity of Hood County.
“It’s wonderful that the youth in our community are willing to step up and take an interest in providing for those who are in need,” said Susan Meche, accountant for Habitat for Humanity of Hood County, which has an all-volunteer staff, allowing virtually all donations to go directly to building efforts. “We have great gratitude and a big heart for the boys of St. Mark’s.”
The students' efforts drew the attention of several news outlets in DFW. Click here to watch a clip of the students' appearance on Good Morning Texas.
The exhibition will be held on Thursday, June 13, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Banks Fine Art Gallery at 1313 Slocum St, Suite 103, Dallas, TX 75207.
