On Saturday, April 13, 2013, the main quad was transformed into a giant party to which the entire St. Mark's community was invited. Parents and faculty members danced the night away, sampling a wide range of exotic foods and bidding on unique auction items, from student-made ceramics to exotic vacations.
This year's iCelebrate St. Mark's kicked off at the beginning of the year with a social spin. Leading up to the big night, students and faculty submitted YouTube videos for monthly contests, voted on by the School community. A third-grader stole the show with his heart-warming video Bow Tie Magic and was announced as the YouTube contest winner during the party. Hundreds participated in the raffle for a $10,000 Northpark shopping spree, which went to Jessica Griege.
Throughout the year, students, parents, and faculty have carried on the party at iCelebrations, including a father-son dodgeball game and St. Mark's fashion show. Even though Celebrate St. Mark's is over, there's still one more iCelebration, though tickets have already sold out.
Proceeds from iCelebrate will support the Parents' Association's Centennial Challenge pledge to fund the Fellows Program, an important component in the School's commitment to faculty support.
