Photographers Sweep International Awards

The work of 14 St. Mark’s student photographers was recognized with 29 selections in the 2024 Texas Photographic Society (TPS) International Student Competition prizes, the organization announced April 11.
 
Sophomore Kazim Hussain’s whimsical portrait of a figure in a field with a comical bag over its head won “Best in Show” honors.

This competition, sponsored by TPS and the Association of Texas Photography Instructors, is open to current high school, middle and elementary school students. All skill levels are encouraged, and all photographic-based work, including digital, darkroom and alternative processes, is welcome. 
 
All St. Mark’s photographers are students of Arnold E. Holtberg Master Teaching Chair Scott Hunt, who has directed the photography program here for 26 years.
