College Board honors seniors
Seven members of the Class of 2024 earned honors from the College Board National Recognition Program for their hard work and academic performance in national testing programs.
Five students received recognition from the National Hispanic Recognition Award program. They include seniors Ethan Bosita, Matthew Gomez, Christian Neisler, Carson Ness and Alex Soliz.
Additionally, Noah Cathey and Ethan Singleton received recognition from the National African American Recognition Award program.
“The College Board’s National Recognition Programs highlight the academic accomplishments of underrepresented students, both in the classroom and on College Board assessments,” said Josh Shandera, associate director of College Counseling. “We’re proud of our students who have earned these academic honors. While our students are much more than numbers, these awards further signify St. Mark’s students’ preparedness for college and commitment to their educations.”
Criteria for recognition include a GPA of 3.5 or higher and PSAT/NMSQT scores in the top ten percent of assessment takers nationwide, along with students identifying as Black, indigenous and/or Latino.
