Join the Parents' Associations of St. Mark's and Hockaday for their annual joint meeting on the evening of Jan. 24, in Decherd Auditorium on the St. Mark’s campus. This evening event will feature a talk by husband-wife duo Dr. Bobo and Amy Blankson:
Screentime in the post-pandemic world: Helping your teen navigate and thrive in the new digital landscape
Teens are spending more time on devices than ever before — in fact, 30% more since the start of the pandemic alone — and that trend is not going away. As our teens struggle to navigate our hyperconnected world, they need guidance and guardrails to find balance and flourish. In this talk, husband-wife duo Dr. Bobo and Amy Blankson will share both their professional experience as well as their personal experience as the parents of three teen daughters.
"Dr. Bobo," as his patients affectionately call him, is a Harvard/Yale graduate and adolescent medicine specialist at a practice here in Dallas called “Girls to Women/Young Men's Health and Wellness.” Amy Blankson, a Harvard and Yale School of Management graduate, is a speaker on happiness and the CEO of the Digital Wellness Institute. Together they will share emerging trends, practical insight and some wisdom learned from the trenches of real-life parenting that you won't want to miss.
Due to seating capacity, our event has reached maximum attendance. For those who are attending, we look forward to seeing you at this engaging and interactive presentation. If you need to cancel for any reason, please reach out to a friend or fellow parent to take your spot. For those who were unable to reserve a seat, we are planning to post a recording of the presentation to St. Mark's and Hockaday class pages.
