Harlequin Players Honor Teacher

On Friday, October 12, more than 70 Harlequin Players and Drama Club Alumni returned to campus for a luncheon to celebrate the impact Tony Vintcent had on dozens of young artists. Vintcent is credited with starting the Fine Arts program at St. Mark’s and organizing the Harlequin Players, a summer program that extended to the Greater Dallas high school community in the 1960s and 1970s.

The celebration to honor Fine Arts Department Chair Emeritus Tony Vintcent continued on Saturday, October 13, with a reading of Under Milkwood. The public was invited to attend the performance.

As part of the celebration, a special webpage was built to host photos and memorabilia from the Harlequin Player's nine seasons and tours, as well as their reunions. Explore more at smtexas.org/HarlequinPlayers.
