Quiz Bowl Competes Across the Nation
Over the past few weeks, St. Mark's Middle and Upper School Quiz Bowl teams have traveled across the country, placing high in both state and national competitions.
The Middle School team traveled to Chicago to compete in the Middle School National Championship Tournament. The team of Patrick Magee ’17, Kaden Han ’17, Parker Kirby ’17, and Kevin Choi ’17 finished seventeenth overall against ninety-six other teams. Patrick Magee was also ranked the twelfth best player out of almost 500 students.
The Upper School Team of James Rowan ’13, Alex Choy ’13, Luke Munson ’14, and Raymond Guo ’15 traveled to Houston to compete in the state Quiz Bowl championship. St. Mark's finished fourth overall, behind three of the top nationally-ranked teams. They move on to the High School National Championship Tournament in Atlanta over Memorial Day weekend.
